The purpose of this analysis is to analyze the types of metaphors, simile and biographical perspective in the song lyric by Taylor Swift. The writer also analyze the problem using three questions, there are: what type of metaphor and simile can be found in the song lyrics by Taylor Swift, the type most often used metaphors and the biographical perspective in the five song lyrics. The writer uses descriptive qualitative and find theories in the library and the internet. The writer also listens to the song and read the lyrics of the song to find the type of metaphors and simile in the lyrics of the song. By analyzing the types of metaphors in the lyrics Taylor Swift the writer can specify the types of metaphors in the lyrics of the songs are orientational metaphor, ontological metaphor and structural metaphor. The type most frequently used metaphor is a structural metaphor. The last the writer finds connection between the biographical perspective base the life of the song writer and the song lyrics.
